Vyepti

VYEPTI is a prescription medicine used for the preventive treatment of migraine in adults.

Infusion Experience

VYEPTI is given as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a healthcare provider. Here are some tips on what you can expect before, during, and after your VYEPTI infusion.

  • A nurse or other healthcare provider will start your infusion and be available to answer any questions you may have.
  • VYEPTI 100 mg is the recommended dose, but your healthcare provider may decide that you could benefit from a 300 mg dose.
  • The infusion will take about 30 minutes, but your total appointment time may vary.
  • Use this time to read, use your phone to check emails, connect with others on social media, or just relax.
  • Schedule your next VYEPTI appointment in 3 months before you leave the infusion location.
  • Once your infusion is over, you can go about your day.
  • Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effect that bothers you or that does not go away.

Possible Side Effects

Before starting VYEPTI, tell your healthcare provider about all your medical conditions, including if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, or you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.  Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including any prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements.

The most common side effects of VYEPTI include stuffy nose and scratchy throat, and allergic reactions.

These are not all the possible side effects of VYEPTI. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effect that bothers you or that does not go away.
