Radicava IV

RADICAVA is indicated for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Infusion Experience

RADICAVA® (edaravone) IV is an intravenous medication for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This means that RADICAVA® IV is given through a needle in a vein.

  • RADICAVA® IV is administered as two 30 mg IV bags
  • It takes about 1 hour to receive a full dose
  • Your doctor will tell you how often you will receive RADICAVA® IV
  • Your doctor will monitor you closely during your ALS treatment

RADICAVA® IV is given through a vein as an infusion. The initial treatment cycle starts with daily dosing of RADICAVA® IV for 14 days followed by a 14-day drug-free period. Subsequent treatment cycles include daily dosing 10 out of 14 days followed by a 14-day drug-free period.

Possible Side Effects

Radicava may cause serious side effects including:

  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • wheezing,
  • lightheadedness,
  • itching, and
  • chest tightness

The most common side effects of Radicava include:

  • bruising,
  • headache, and
  • trouble walking
